Today a physical office is not as important anymore as much as a digital office.
What’s a digital office?
01. Possibility a latest notebook / laptop / tablet with decent screen size and a hi-def front camera, USB port or a USB extension board and preferably branded insurance on the device with an anti-virus or a MAC product as I use.
02. Some mandatory document editor software like MS Word or the MS Office Suite or Adobe Suite.
03. Some video /audio chat apps like Skype, Zoom, etc
04. Battery backup for on the move or full charge when out and about every time you find a plug source.
05. A reading stand to rest your device or in case of a tablet a cover that folds to be a stand.
06. A backpack with an exclusive area which has padding to insert the device or a handled bag with padding both sides with separate charger and cables holder.
07. A smartphone with at least 128GB storage and cloud connectivity, my recommendation again is any model, iPhone X upwards or similar in Android space.
08. Cable/s to connect to the laptop ( main device)
09. A desktop printer that is transportable preferably a laser jet document printer . Color prints aren’t cush any more.
10. All the above and no exception.
Benefits of a digital office over a tradition physical office ?
01. No rentals at all.
02. No maintenance costs.
03. No static location biding you physically.
04. No travel costs or time and energy waste.
05. Quick access to virtual meetings and recordings as well as lifetime digital records.
06. Banking , Accounting, News, Documentation, Entertainment, Networking all in one ready to go device.
07. More productivity.
08. No staffing or labour costs.
09. Carry work home or even toilet if its that urgent.
10. No security risks as long as you didn’t insure or lose your device/s.
Last but not the least a paper or ceramic coffee mug and some coffee powder with a hot water flask for your desk coffee 🙂 , if you are a coffee addict as me.
